| Schweitzer Mountain is a prime vacation spot all year long. Hike, horseback ride, bike, take a trail ride or hitch the quad to the top of the mountain to get the best pickins' of the huckleberry season.

If fishing is your favorite sport, try trophy fishing on Lake Pend Oreille. The 43-mile long lake is over 1,150 feet deep and offers a chance to land a BIG ONE, a 25-pound-plus Kamloops trout. City Beach, in the downtown area, offers a variety of lake access activities such as sailing, chartered boat excursions, parasailing, kayaking, wind surfing and swimming.
